Staff  Wellbeing

Healthy Living

At Redeem we recognise our staff are our biggest asset and ensuring their health, wellbeing and job satisfaction is good for business. We are proud holders of the SHAW Bronze Award and implement a number of staff wellbeing initiatives.

Redeem runs a number of health related courses including slimming clubs, all of which are open to family and friends of staff and members of the local community. We also support physical activity and an active workplace with free gym trials, five-a-side football, hill walking trips in company time and all-staff team-building activity away days.

Smoking Policy

In accordance with the Scottish Executive’s 2006 regulations smoking is not permitted in any work areas or entrances to company premises including company vehicles. Redeem has employed this strict no smoking policy since 2005 in order to maintain a safe and comfortable working environment for everyone.

Anyone wishing to smoke may do so outside of the premises in designated areas only. We do, however, encourage employees to give up and have run a number of smoking cessation courses providing information and support to all staff.

Clean Air Award

Redeem is proud to hold a silver level National Clean Air Award from the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. The National Clean Air Award is a UK-wide programme that recognises employers with effective workplace no-smoking policies. Redeem adopted a no-smoking policy in February 2005 and has restricted smoking to designated areas outside the premises to help limit second-hand smoke exposure. Achieving National Clean Air Award is part of our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our employees and customers.
