Social  Inclusion

We are aware that everything in life is not easy, and for many people there are significant barriers to finding employment.  At Redeem we have developed a number of social inclusion initiatives, working with major charitable and public sector organisations to encourage diversity and make entering the workplace easier for largely unrecognised groups of individuals.

Our equal opportunities recruitment programmes include:

Redemption Programme

We have had a successful partnership with the Scottish Prison Service since 2005, helping offenders back into society and encouraging rehabilitation through employment. We firmly believe everyone can make a positive contribution to society when given an adequate level of support and opportunity. We continue to assist a number of offenders and former offenders to enter the work place through permanent and work placement positions. With two thirds of prisoners ending back in prison, we believe business has a role to play in assisting this serious issue and offering support and rehabilitation in return for committed and loyal staff.

Back to Work Programme

This programme began in 2005, working closely with Caledonian Clubhouse, an outreach centre for people with mental health issues, offering supported part-time work experience and placements. Together we created a Back to Work programme and in the past four years we have taken on 14 employees offering genuine employment opportunities in a profitable and growing company.
