Fundraising

Through our collection programmes, Redeem has raised over £4 million for charities and good causes from schools to Scout Groups. These funds have been vital in aiding such groups continue their valuable work. We also support our partner charities’ activities outwith our core business model, organising company wide fundraising events on a regular basis.

Employee Volunteering

Redeem believes businesses have a role to play in building strong and healthy communities. Our 12 Half Days volunteering programme allows every member of staff 12 half days paid leave each year to take part in community volunteering projects during company time.

Organisations that have benefited from the programme include SACRO, The Children’s Panel, Alcoholics Anonymous, Riding with Disabled, The Territorial Army and St Andrews Ambulance. Volunteering allows staff to learn new skills and strengthens ties with the local community.

Blood Donation

A single blood donation can help save or improve the lives of nine individuals yet only 5% of the eligible population currently donates blood. As part of our commitment to improving the local and wider community in which we operate, we actively encourage our staff to support blood donation offering them paid time off during working hours to attend donor sessions in the local area.

Organ Donor Programme

We actively encourage all of our staff to participate and register in organ donor programme. Over 70% of our staff are registered organ donors. Wherever possible we support the work of the UK transplant organisation and The national organ procurement service in Ireland.
