Our Work

Background

The RSPB works to secure a better future for birds and wildlife helping create a better world for us all.  Founded in 1989, the society has since grown into Europe’s largest wildlife conservation charity with more than a million members.

Objectives

  • To raise vital funds
  • To alter public perception of the charity
  • To highlight their environmental work as well as that on bird issues
  • To increase opted-in membership figures

Campaign

An extensive marketing and PR campaign was launched by TV producer, writer, presenter and dedicated RSPB member Philippa Forrester.  Freepost envelopes are distributed to the RSPB database through direct mail campaigns and insertions into member publications.  The appeal is supported by fantastic incentives and was also the first of our charity programmes to benefit from the introduction of our innovative Gift Aid solution.
